On FCP when I was dragging the media into the main box thing, the menu to insert with transition, or insert normally dis-appeared on roll over. Is that bad?

Ha thanks. In my country no one I have ever met even knows who he is. Nonetheless Karl is a huge hero of mine. As they say.. head like a fucking orange.. but I still love him. :)
thanks for posting the tutorials - i just got an imac and am new to using FCE. Your vids are clear and to the point. Keep up the good work.

Thanks I don't put much effort into this channel at the moment so most of these vids are really poorly thought out. I'm glad people still find them helpful though. I'll put more regular time into it someday.

Thanks very much for this. I have just got final cut pro, opened it last night and felt totally lost! This has helped immensely to get me started. After iMovie, im very excited about this program :-)

Even though they operate differently I think it's great to go from iMovie to FCP because iMovie gives you enough of the basics to give you the feel of how the editing process works. Don't be too overwhelmed with all the bells and whistles of FCP, just learn one thing at a time and move slowly.
