If the car is moving at a constant speed and the fly is just hovering, the fly will move with the car.

Why does it not hit the back of the car? Within the car there is no force to push it back. You don't feel any forces when you're in the car with the fly.

But what if the car is accelerating? If you're in the car you'll notice a force acting on you. In this situation, the car moves the air that moves the fly. This might make the fly move toward the back of the car a bit.

Newton's first law. Does the fly realize this??? unless it is out of the car... is the car realizing this - yes because there is the drag of air and the friction on the road. How about the fly, it is inside the car and therefore all the contact forces are actually on the car which is trying its best not to retard!!!

if a hover fly was hovering in the middle of a car that was traveling at 90mph

does that mean that the fly is flting with the car at 90mph or is it just hovering at staying within the inside if the car??????

if i dint fly at all tho the fly would crash into the back of the car
