Pakatan 2nd anniversary - Any changes to Penang?

March 8, 2010 is the second year anniversary of Pakatan Rakyat administration in Penang. What do Penangites have to say about the PR state government? Do they notice any improvement? Are the voters who voted for change happy? What are their expectations and their grouses?

CJ Lilian had tagged along with a group of DAP members while they were doing their rounds in the parliamentary area of Jelutong.
CJ Lilian met with several hawkers and also people from the kampongs and low cost flats. Some of the people said they notice slight improvements while others are not sure if there is any. Meanwhile, an Indian hawker Uthaijan said two years is too short a time for any major changes to take effect. Give them sometime, if anything needs to be corrected, they have to correct. Uthaijan said.

One Chinese hawker, Lee, lamented that bad infrastructure and poor planning from the previous BN government has caused tremendous inconveniences to them. Frankly speaking, previous government is lousy, hopefully the new one will try to improve things. Lee boldly told CJ Lilian.
To get a fair judgement, CJ Lilian also asked one UMNO member, Sulaiman what he thinks of the new PR government. Sulaiman said they didnt deliver their election promises. Another resident, Rashid told CJ Lilian that they are facing a major problem of overcrowded Muslim graves. Rashid said CM Lim Guan Eng must get the land approved for the new grave immediately before disaster (spread of diseases due to shallow graves) happens.

Di negeri yang perintah BN pun sama.. tak ada yang istimewa dalam masa 2 tahun ni? Tidak ada kebaikan untuk rakyat melainkan untuk diri sendiri dan kepentingan kroni pemimpin umno/bn
