@zekeland Her style is timeless because everything she wears is classic and because in many scenes she has a "natural" look, wet hair, little makeup. I think they had to make her French because it's hard to imagine a British woman of that era having such fashion ideas (as well as being so comfortable with sex and posing naked and what not).

Signoret is a colosos of talent and depth.
This film is somewhat art reflecting life .. Harvey in the closet and Signoret
absolutely who she is, magnificent in every way.
