  • wow thanks for the great info i just went from hydron cocco puffs to STG i have been using a timer (20 min off 60 sec on ect.?.) in A AeroFlo2 36 site system, any recomendations on watering timeing with STG (my timeing schle may of been my problem) but the ease of this stuff seems awsome and at half the price of hydron !!!! whats your thoughts? thank you!!!

  • @johnartmaster Thanks for giving STG a try, I"m sure you will not be disappointed. We have several vids using the AeroFlo system. We always just let it rip 24-7 and saw great results. No two grows are the same, so we always go with let your plants tell you what they like and adjust timer up or down. Are you using Hail or Inserts? Love to hear back with your results and let us know if you have questions.

  • Great video! I am just blown away on how STG Loose Fill medium can help cultivate the most ideal plants. I have never seen such great root mass on basil plants as far as my growing is concerned. I am just curious, can I use Loose Fill in a hydroponics system, like a DWC system perhaps?

  • @lovingmygarden Thanks for the comment. For container growing, STG loose fill, Hail or Storm inserts will all work very well in DWC or any hydro method.

  • @cjisdacoolest thank you for the reply. our grows cubes because they need to be watered from the top generally will grow algae. it is important to understand that algae will not harm your plant, so there is no need to panic. once your plant has establsihed roots and can be transplanted, you can either remove the top cap that has the algae on it or simply wipe it off the top. if the top stays dry duirng the next cycle of growth the algae will not return.

  • @cjisdacoolest ANYTHING WILL GROW ALGAE.....the point we are making, since STG is nonwicking you CAN water in such a way that water does not get to the top of the STG, so it remains dry and therefore cannot grow algae. less vile language would be appreciated. this is a public forum you can make your points without the need to use language that we and others find offensive.
