@wellardme I live in salzburg were red bull has his collection of planes based. Once his DC-6B Propliner was flying someting like 30 meters high right across my sailboat after I waived at him on his first fly-by. Pretty much like in the first minute of the movie!! You can see all those planes like the B-25J, his P-38, the Corsair, Stermans and lots of others flying quit often but you never get used to it or enough of it. It's so much diverend from seeing them siting in a museum

B-17 is a big target for Germen fighter,even so the boming weakened the power of the enemy.

The part where the Memphis Belle is hurtling down the runway full power makes you proud to be a man in that we can love such things!!! There is something so beautiful about these old warbirds.
Some years ago i was in my back garden outside north London and i could hear some droning in the distance. And suddenly a Mosquito flew overhead and gave a display for the DeHavilland museum nearby. Those Merlins sent a shiver down my spine i'll never forget!
