In the process of making a reproduction of a medieval manuscript, I polish gold leaf. If you are interested in learning how to do raised gilding, I recommend you contact Jerry Tresser through http://www.jtresser.com/GOLDBLOG.html and watch his YouTube videos.

  • that looks like a LOT of work! i commend your patience!

  • but how did you apply the leaf ?

  • is that fake gold leaf?

theirs alot of people that think they are buying gold leaf when really all they are buying is abit of tin metal that will tarnish

  • WONDERFUL!!!!!!TO SEE SUCH WORK BEING DONE ......THANK YOU

  • Would you tell us what kind of gesso is and if you dillute it or mix it with PVA glue?

    Please!

  • can you make a video with de gilding process i'm from chile and the books of this are difficault to buy an very expensive

  • Morgan, I was just curious if the gesso you were using on this manuscript was reconstituted from the small batch I sent you or was this from the batch that you made..

Regardless, it appears nicely done. Nothing gives me more pleasure then to see what can be accomplished when everything works in harmony... JERRY TRESSER
