@shivoni The North American version of A Broken Frame (including the CD version I bought in the late 90s) used this version of Leave in Silence. Both this album and Speak and Spell were sold with a big "Dance Music" sticker on them and used several of the longer remixed versions of the singles like Just Can't Get Enough. I guess when they remastered the albums a few years back they decided to use the original UK tracks instead.
I agree with yammie75. I use to own the tape version of A Broken Frame as well and haven't heard this version since I lost it, many years ago. I was actually shocked to find out that the CD version was not the same. Is vinyl the same as CD? Was the tape version just a little bonus (along with the other songs not on CD version)? Anyway, I always wondered what version was called. Longer, eh? Neat. Well, thanks for posting. I thought I lost this version for good. It's nice to hear it again. Cheers.
Being from Canada, this was the version that led the Broken Frame cassette's Side 1. Haven't heard this since I threw the ol' tape player out. Thanks for posting!
always felt this was the definative version .. that great solo finds an end .. have missed this old record .. the sound was loud, bright, crystal clear as I recall:~)
