You Will Overcome

Every year, there are thousands of horses that, for one reason or another, are in need of rescue. This video is dedicated to those horses; to show that they can, and will, overcome.

** The images from 0:45-1:36 cover the struggle one that our horses, Tinkerbell, went through to stay alive. The picture at 0:45 was taken at her arrival in December 2007, the picture at 1:36 was in August 2008 after winning multiple ribbons at a local horse show. She's one of our greatest success stories and is now an ambassador for our cause. **

Horse is a creature of cosmic power...well defined in myth through stories like that of Pegasus and Bellerophon. They're all about showing us how to find our true inner power through respect and love and the chance to overcome our fears and inequities. But in a culture that sees them as property and commodity, this view becomes perverted. Time to get past that and recognise them for who and what they really are.

I honestly cried. Tinkerbell's story is just amazing. Im not sure if you remember me or my Mom but we called you guys on October 10, 2008 because my horse had fallen in a well. After getting her out she couldnt stand. I needed a proper sling, like Tinkerbell did, along with equine medical personnel - we simply didnt have the equipment needed. After 6 hours of fighting, at 8 y/o, she succumbed to heart failure/internal bleeding. If only we had thought to call you sooner... she may still be alive.

its just sprained. :) i just found out. This saturday im going to a clinic for jumping but I have to watch :(
