Liberty Resources Limited (ASX:LBY) CEO Andrew Haythorpe speaks with Brian Carlton on the Underground Coal Gasification process and the future of Energy in Australia. Presenting at the Symposium Resources Roadshow in Sydney, Liberty presents the case for a new and cost effective energy solution for not only Australia's energy needs, but also a viable export market for those energy products to Asia.

Liberty is focussed on the commercial deployment of Underground Coal Gasification projects. Liberty holds extensive deep coal tenements in the Galilee, Surat and Denison Basins in Queensland, Australia.

Liberty has an exploration target range of 280 - 350 Billion tonnes of thermal coal for its Queensland projects. The coal is currently undergoing feasibility studies to determine its suitability for Underground Coal Gasification (UCG).

The UCG process involves gasification of deep coal seams in-situ. The gasification process produces a clean energy product known as Synthesis Gas (Syngas), and gives us the opportunity to utilise some of the world's vast coal stock in a sustainable, environmentally responsible, and economically efficient manner.
