One of my most favourite films...can't count the number of times I have watched rapt with joy or sniffling into my tissues wishing it was me in Lucy Honeychurch's shoes...to experience Italy in those days, to be suddenly, passionately kissed on a poppy filled tuscan hillside by Julian Sands...ahhhhhhhhhh...I swoon!!!!
It was a time of innocence, beauty, manners and simplicity.

I Love this movie. I feel like I am transported. I love his love for her. I love the sweet kind Father's love for his son. She is a beautiful victim of her environment but her intelligence is helping her break-out and listen to the beating of her own little heart in her own little brest ... so beautiful. There are real people like this in the world and It restores my confidence in Human Nature. My man loves me this way with a pure simplicity that I love. Life is good!
