For those of you without the resources for one of these I highly recommend the Cam Caddie Scorpion. Easily worth it's price at $38it's the best solution for a wobbly camera for the independent videographer.

I've been a professional Photographer for years now.....and since I've got to watch this video a year ago, I was inspired.... and I've thought of becoming a steadicam operator.
In 2011, I bought a Steadicam Jr....just for a start....and it was FUN! I am planning to take a Steadicam operator workshop in Monroe, New York.
The course is expensive, a (US$ 3K) for just a 5days training. Well for me.... it would be worth it... coz that is what I wanna be.... a professional steadicam operator!

also die drop time der steadicam ist verdammt kurz! Das könnte mit ein Grund sein, warum die Steadicamaufnahmen nicht wirklich toll sind/werden können. Außerdem hat dieser "Steadicam Operator" noch nicht oft mit so einem Teil gearbeitet, oder?
