NINE DOT CINEMA presents a film that brings together Caleb French (Biohazard Movies Commercial, The Real Traveling Gnome series) and Wesley Vosper (Banned V8 Commercial) for a hilarious satire of Billy Mays and our susceptibility in the face of advertising. The film took 4 days to complete.
Trivia:
1.The TV Watchers house is actually in Casey Harts garage.
2.The Triscuits that you see in the background during the scenes with the TV watcher were what he was originally going to be eating before the chips, but Wesley Vosper didnt like how they tasted so Casey Hart brought him the chips.
3.The Buddha Sponge boxes were actually just tissue boxes with printer paper taped over them.
4.The part where Billy Mays knocked the boxes to the side was improvised by Caleb French.
5.Steak Sauce was used for all of the smearing scenes. One of the bottles of Steak Sauce that was used on the set can be seen on Billy Mays table.
6.In the scene where Billy Mays is cleaning off the wood block with the leading brand sponge, the script can be seen briefly.
7.In the scene where the TV Watcher spits out the soda, Casey Hart had to stand in the direction he was spitting in while holding up a big towel so he wouldnt get any of the equipment wet.
8.The part where the TV Watcher hits the Mailman with the Vac-broom was improvised by Wesley Vosper while he waiting for his part in the garage with all of the brooms and vacuums.
9. The shirt that Casey Hart wears as the TV show host is the same shirt that Caleb French wears as Billy Mays.
