And so we step through to the end of the first month of 2011 with one of the most wonderful videogames never bought. Many may know the epic final battle's theme, "The Sun Rises" but other than that, those who didn't play it rarely hear of much else in the soundtrack of Amaterasu's journey. One favourite of mine that stands out shining clear, is Ryoshima Coast.
One of the most dramatically expansive areas of the game, Ryoshima Coast is a beautiful sunlit shoreline where tiny islands are guarded by a water dragon, each island with its own little secret from a tower of cats to a sunken ghost ship. The theme is a wonderfully constant regular pace of adventure and spirit, yet instilled with a sense of humble duty, and of one's hope never fading as you truly begin your adventure. And I do mean TRULY.
It has some Shinshu Field and Taka Pass vibes in it.
But this one is probably my favorite of all the three main land themes.

OMG YES
<3 Okami, <3 this song. Well, more like I actually love pretty much all the songs (Uekeper, Kamui, several of the boss battle themes, Reset, obviously The Sun Rises). Also kudos for actually uploading both parts of the theme without the noticeable weird sound in between.
Now I can just wish that my Wii gets fixed soon to play Okami again.
