@egomike88 much agreed! being a certified first responder and professional rescuer, not only can it arch the shock, but it can also cause severe burns to that area of the patient!

thats right reach across the throat and risk squeezing the airway. great placement of AED on the patient, leaked electricity might not damage the machine if shock given.

@defibtrainer wow , where did you learn BLS ?? If the patient is not breathing normally then proceede with 30 chest compressions to perfuse the heart before giving 2 ventillations and then repeat 30:2, 30:2......

What a load of rubbish.... Why would you want to secure the airway of a non breathing patient prior to any primary airway and breathing assessment. If the patient is not breathing it is a PRIORITY to commence with chest compressions rather than waste valuable time messing about taking a pulse....THIS IS A VERY MIS LEADING AND DANGEROUSE VIDEO< DO NOT FOLLOW THIS BAD EXAMPLE !
