yah, i agree. i hate how the agc works. even with the rode mic, it still has a irritating hiss... cannon has to add a manual function for sound control.

when I get the t2i. I plan on getting a Zoom H1 or H2 and plugging in a shotgun microphone and recording audio separately. That's what pros do anyway, and it's really not as much work as it sounds.

yah, I'm planning to get the h4n... just don't have the money yet... there's a firmware called Magic Lantern that lets you manually control audio on the 5D. i herd they might release the same on the T2i.
