39 y/o man, left olecranon fracture, for ORIF with plate and screws. I used brachial plexus block (supraclavicular approach) for operation.

Fingers flexion was noted.

B Bruan nerve stimulator with 50mm insulated needle.

Block with 1.5% Xylocaine 40mL.

  • Hello. I believe this is the only Franco approach supraclavicular block I've seen in youtube. Its great, it's a pitty one cannot see how you handle the needle in order to obtain the desired response.

    Thanks for posting so many good videos on regional blocks!

  • how much volume u have given & what is the direction of needle

  • i have exprienced...Extensors response gives 100% result...as compared to flexion response...i had tried 100 of times....whatz ur exprience....but its sometime diffcult to get....Flexion response easy to get...but has sparing effect most of the time....share ur exprience....
