  • I have a question. When you spray the oven cleaner into the cavity, how can you avoid getting the chemical on the element? The coil goes around the perimeter of the oven, and it sounds like it would be difficult to avoid getting some of the spray onto the coil. I need to clean my oven, but it doesn't appear that the coil can be removed before cleaning. I don't know what to do.

  • @Gollum0786 I wouldn't worry to much about getting chemical cleaner on the element. Just cook an empty oven on very hot for an hour or so after cleaning out the oven. If you are really concerned about the element you can remove them pretty easily. Usually a panel in front held in place by three torx head screws and then three torx screws on the element itself.

  • @eSparesVideo Oh and ofc make sure the oven is unplugged from the wall before you do anything like removing the element.

  • I have a grill at the top inside of the oven, its a nightmare to clean i think it has screws to bring it out but im not sure if i should. How would u clean the top oven where the grill bit is? So far ive used mr muscle about 3 coatings and used a stainsteel scourer, its getting there but it be easier if it wasnt on the top inside of the oven as its really awkard to clean due to location. Any tips would be great.

  • @SkeeterUK Unfortunately on most cookers the grill element is screwed in from the back of the cooker (unlike the oven element which is usually fixed from the accessible oven side). If you really wanted to get down and dirty you'll need to remove the cooker from it's fitting, by undoing two screws on either side of the cooker and sliding it out onto the floor. You can then get behind, unscrew the grill element and give the whole thing a deep clean. It's sounds scarier than it is. Good luck!

  • cheers mate, saved me alot of time, and money
