I have scanned all the comments but I really want to know the success rate people have had using your recipe or any other homemade one for that matter. Bottom line is does this really work? Our schnauzer is in bad shape over a flea infestation in our condo complex outside. So does it rally work?

Could you put 1/2 the water in the sprayer first, (you could fill it in the sink) add the drops of stuff and shake it up, then add the rest of the water and shake again? a lot easier with less mess? just curious, thanks

@aleiakay Thanks for the thumbs up. And yes, I could have added water first...however for some silly reason, I always do things the hard way, lol

Super easy and no mixing... just get a bottle of tea tree oil from your local health food store and apply it to your finger and rub on the pet (behind the ears, between shoulder blades and at base of tail). Be careful; some dogs react very strongly to tea tree. My boxer cannot tolerate it and foams and drools after a tea tree application. Lavender does nothing for the fleas but it does have a calming effect on the pet. May counter-act (somewhat) the distress from being sprayed w/tea tree oil.

@CADelegate Great ideas. However the dog just loves to be sprayed...lol the mist must feel good to him or something.
