Go to dollar store and buy the cheap metal measuring sets. Take cereal for example, if your regular portion is 3/4 cup, leave the 3/4 cup inside the container permanently. Good for portion control (calorie counting) and you don't have to clean measuring instruments each time you use them. Also when it comes time to replenish a container, you can pour the old contents into the measuring instrument, pour new fresh contents in, then dump the older product so it gets used up first.
