I studied a great article, and implemented soft-shadow scene, along with some .x file model. (http://www.gamedev.net/reference/articles/article2193.asp)The floor with parallax mapping is another story.

wouldn't parralax mapping show real geometry? it looks more like bump map to me!?

The parralax mapping dosn't show real geometry, it makes some displacement by "height map".
Thanks for comments anyway, this video and application is "out-of-date".

Yes, this was my old project in 2005, I implemented some features for a commercial graphics engine.
The NVIDIA SDK has a much better Soft Shadow example. Maybe you would like to check out that one.
