  • is anybody a confucian here if so i got a question?

  • If only more people listened to what he had to say. Society would be so much better if people would just take some of his sayings to heart.

  • One of the wisest men to have ever lived.

  • im in 6th grade studying this guy

  • Why did TranslucentPlenum write on youtube?

  • confucuis is one of the greatest philosophers in history not only china

  • What gives hope, meaning and answers then?

  • He is the greatest Chinese who ever lived and certainly one of the top five most influential figures in world history. Here we are, nearly three millenniums later, and we're still learning from Confucius.

  • that's the beauty of zen. if you can explain it it's not zen. With zen you know that there are no valuable questions. In fact, why don't you check out the video, "true power of shaolin monks." they follow zen teachings and they do INCREDIBLE things. They never claim to give anything, as a matter of fact, I would say they come closer to giving you the experience of nothing. Also, they give discipline and health. but if you believe me you're wrong, and if you don't believe me you're also wrong.:)

  • No, Zen makes no sense. It, like Hinduism, are very elaborate and very exotic to the western mind, but neither gives any ultimate answers to any valuable questions. Where did we come from, how should we live, where does evil come from. Neither buddhism nor hinduism give hope, meaning, or answers to anything.
