@Xarijus its not actually a polyrhythm because it is the same beat, BUT what chris dave is doing is shifting it backwards by 1/8 note each time he stops. This is incredibly difficult because of how accustomed our ears are to western music.

@LeroyWest It's called polyrhythm. And I can't even express what a wonderful poyrhythm is going on in this video.

Fantastic to say the least. Question - at 11:30 they stop/started the groove and continued to do so for a while. At first I thought it odd, but then quite skillful in that they all started over a rhythm abruptly but all in time. Is there a name for this kind of musical transition?
