Her form isn't as crisp from lack of training. She had a stress fracture in her ankle/leg.
I think in terms of raw talent, Kim actually had more than Shawn. Kim's coach was conservative. Whip through to double layout has only been competed by two women internationally. Also, she could have easily done a DTY on vault, and with the horse, not the table! In terms of beam, she could have gotten away with a full-in dismount easily, perhaps even something harder.

It was a bit strange since even the good vaults she did in Barcelona it didnt seem like her best vaulting she had done in the past.

i think they're similar too, even though its tough to compare gymnasts from different cycles, since the COPs and scoring vary so much.. at the time, KZ's floor and beam were pretty top notch, and her vaults were def powerful {though she did the vault that EVERYone did..} I do like Shawn's style better, though.. KZ was definitely a product of the Karolyi\\Pozar era..

I agree, although I prefer Shawn's style, she has better form and is probably a better gymnast then zmeskal ever was...

kim zmeskal and shawn johnson are similar in the way the do gymnastics...short, stocky, thick athletic build, extremely strong, and really ATTACK their routines!!!!
