Stacy Quinn is an entrepreneur, leader and coach who specializes in developing regular people into online entrepreneurs.

Many people are interested in starting their own business. Its estimated that in the next 5 years that there will be 79 million looking for a business opportunity in the U.S. alone.

Online businesses can be very appealing but people have to be wary. Everyone has heard of the scams. If it claims to be easy, free, no effort, no investment required, if it's too good to true, you should run from it. There is no free lunch. There are legitimate online businesses that produce 6 figure monthly incomes, however, they are NOT easy, free or effortless.

If it doesn't require you to invest your time and your money, then it's not the real deal.

What can you do to protect yourself?

DUE DILIGENCE !

Nobody cares about your future more than you do. So check it out. Search the web. Contact the BBB. Get the opinion of successful entrepreneurs.
(IMPORTANT: Only consider the opinion of successful entrepreneurs. Honestly, if they have a J.O.B., how much credence should you give to their thoughts on business.)

Before investing in an online business, read their Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Terms of Use, User Agreement. I know it's not scintillating reading, but it is important to know what you can expect from them and what they expect of you.

Answer these questions about each opportunity you consider:

1. How long have they been in business? Where are their offices? Do they provide a way for you to contact them? Do they respond to your email or phone calls?

2. Is there a legitimate product or service for sale? Is the profit potential worth the effort?

3. Do they provide systems to automate the tedious and time consuming aspects of running a business.

4. Do they provide training, mentorship and support?

Note: the questions above are not extensive but should give you an idea of what you should consider. Imagine the benefits of your ideal business and formulate your own questions based on that.

If you are a serious entrepreneur or you desire to become a serious entrepreneur, I encourage you to check out my web site (http://www.SMQEnterprises.com), scrutinize the opportunity and then make a quality decision about your future.
