  • This was the greatest win in UK football history. However, Sagarin giving the 'cats the National title retrospectively is horse excrement. Then again, it is more legitimate than the half-dozen national titles that a Tuscaloosa newspaper bestowed on Alabama. No disrespect intended.

  • Uk lost to 1 loss tennessee so how can u beat a better team?

  • Poop2 the ap upi and coaches voted oklahoma #1 uk #8 suck on that! you cant alter history

  • @redneck6310 You mean by being one of 4 teams with one loss and the only team to beat the consensus number 1 team in the country makes our title bogus? Then who the fuck should have won? The team we beat or another team with one loss that didn't beat the number 1 team?

  • Uks "title" is a bogus ranking 50 yrs later and its. a joke

  • Uk was #8 in polls oklahoma was #1

  • Actually, because the AP and UPI held their final polls before the bowl games in those days, Oklahoma was recognized as the "consensus" national champs that year by most of the rating services. Kentucky, along with Tennessee and Princeton were named champs by some minor ratings services.

  • The NCAA recognizes it as an official National Championship!

  • That was Kentucky's unofficial NC.

good vid, hard to find this.
