@ModernW4rf3re and it's a field goal. this technique is allowed just like the place kick (the one you're use to, the one always almost used).

This was the way it was done at one time. One of my uncles was a drop kicker in the late 1940s, in HS and college. A lost art now -- low percentage compared to using a holder. Jim McMahon of the Bears was good at it. He'd kick them in warmups, but never got to do one in a game. I remember seeing the Flutie try on live TV. It came about because the game was in hand, it was the end of Flutie's career, and nobody was going to cry "showboat" on a lousy little PAT, especially with Flutie.

@C111ST1111Y ahhh ok thank you :D

@ModernW4rf3re It's a drop kick, very common in Rugby! The ball is dropped and must make contact with the ground immediately before or whilst the ball is kicked. If it was a punt and didnt touch the ground I believe (and feel free to correct me anyone who knows better) that it would be ruled a touchback.
It's a difficult technique to get right with a football which is why I think it's not used very often, the bounce can often lead to a miss kick

didnt see this in my whole life. Can you please tell me Is that like a punt oder a field goal????

@BucknutDolfan STILL LEGAL and that kick was only worth 1 pt cause it was a PAT...but it can be done for 3 pts..just no reason to use it anymore
what really makes this video great is the sound quality.
