Erected at the cost of $437 million the LAPD has moved from the Parker Center into the new 10 story Police Administration Building. On October 24, 2009, the City of Los Angeles

Jim McDonnell talks about new building and applying for the top chief position in the LAPD. William Bratton will be stepping down as chief and Jim McDonnell is a top candidate to replace him. Should the new police building be called Parker Center, after the LAPD chief of the 1950s William Parker? Hie legacy is not exactly a positive one by people of the black community and in countless published reports, Parker has been accused of being a racist.

lanier2, take a job as a scout for a modeling agency and scour the world seeking beautiful woman. While in the Navy I made 1,000s of photos of women. I never ran out of opportunities. Japanese women are fashion conscience and photogenic when they go out on a Saturday. Also look at national holidays world-wide as many folks are out in public.

lanier2, I'd like to see Costa Rica, I hear the cost of living is cheap. I've been to the Philippines, they were occupied by Spain, and speak Tagolog, which is close to espanol in pronunciation, but differs in spelling. Again large country, with mountains and beaches. Thailand is another cheap spot. I didn't get to see Australia, but there's plenty of World to explore, you just gotta go out there. Oh I did climb two mountains, damn near died, but life is the adventure as you wish to make it.

lanier2, I did 20 years in the Navy and traveled a lot. If you have a college degree try to get in the Air Force first, then Navy, next Army, or Marines. Boot camp and the first two years bottom rung, but advancement and education are in your control. Get out at 8-10 years or stay over 20 for better benefits, it is all your choice.

It is sad how citizens born in the USA take their freedoms and privileges for granted. It would be great reality TV to drop them into a foreign country for a month.
