The advent of M3 is kind of ashore and I figured it's time I'd stop uploading Reitasai 7 stuff on a spree. Granted, my M3 coverage won't be as bold as Reitasai's since I've got a chock load of work on my hands and certainly won't grasp time to do it. Nonetheless, channel schedule will proceed in a fuzzy and casual pace as (mostly) always.

Remember when SOUND HOLIC was bad? Yeah, neither do I. These guys have been churning out amazing stuff since the very beginning of touhou doujin projection and have been an assiduous presence ever since. This one dates back to 2006, my favorite SH period. Arguably their best stuff is scattered across their SOUND HOLIC MEETS TOHO volumes and it's a tremenduous shame that most of the core artists performing in these releases are no longer within this circle. Moreover, some like Masato here, I've got no clue where they wandered off to, it's quite tragic. I love his playing; I hate it how he's only fetched two tracks in SH's repertoire so far. Don't know about other projects though, I hope he's made more Touhou stuff, and I'd truly be delighted to have him return... along with Issay and Akira-kun and etceteras.

This track was probably one of my catalysts to start scrounging around for more Touhou arranges and I still play it to this day. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a Yuyuko rendition so much ever since. I don't particularly enjoy Border of Life, and as some of you might know, I loathe it a little (just to be different, you know?). It's just so boring and plain after a listen or two, I can't put my finger on it. I like Yuyuko, the character, I think her antics are absolutely beautiful and definitely a beacon of light in ZUN's character plots, however, them themes they just throw me off and a half... feels bad, man. It's kind of tragic.

Sorta like this one rendition here you could say. I picture Yuyuko's last heroic moments and this theme rolls around, it's sort of transcending. It feels like a climax scene in some Square Enix game.
Oh my, I'm just deviating here.
Hopefully this one will captivate the hearts of those who like and dislike Border of Life alike.

So, quick question. I types M3 into the Touhou Wiki, and nothing came up, and when googled, completely unrelated stuff appears. So... what is M3? I understand that it is some kind of convention, probably Touhou exclusive, but I can't actually find any info on it.

@mstrswrd Actually, unlike Reitasai, M3 is an all-around doujin convention, not simply for Touhou, therefore, it hasn't got as much projection amongst touhou circles as Reitasai, for instance. There are several Touhou circles releasing in this event, which happens to be today. You might want to search for M3-25 to get more accurate results. DoujinStyle has a thread going on for this year's M3; might want to look into that.

Well, I guess I can see what you mean, but BoL's always been a favorite of mine.  Probably two reasons: 1: The whole reason I'm so into Touhou is that the music is a huge oasis in the desert of emotionless, sex-and/or-angst-filled crap that is today's mainstream.

2: Well, if I didn't appreciate stuff like this, I'd probably just have such a huge brick of metal in my playlists that it'd all blend together and I'd keep turning up the volume without realizing it until my head decompressed.
