@foughtwolf agreed. if the weapon i were to purchase were historically significant, id not resore it. BUT if i were to obtain a daily shooter. id replace ANYTHING remotely worn. yeah theyre a bit violent. and quite dangerous if neglected or dirty or loose. hte germans had the design down GOOD though. take this gun. an dpoint it. hte angle of thegrip is a natural extension of your hand/wrist. quite accurate. and that is saying ALOT for a pistol. i also have a p38/p1, which i like to shoot as well
I wouldnt even fire a good one, not because I dont trust its quality but because they are hard to come by, and the system does tend to tear itself apart. Be careful buying used parts of them, especially those on say, the toggle lock action, as they can sometimes be so worn that people are just trying to sell it. There were some stainless Lugers made some time back and even those tore themselves up rather quickly, they are that violent.
oh lawd. i am getting one in december for use in historic shooting!

@foughtwolf where? oh yes. from 400 to 3k. 400 will get a firing one. BUT Very beaten. GB also is a good source of spare parts for restorations etc.
