This is actually a very helpful video man! Not kidding! The explanations are quite clear, I haven't found a clear explanation of that area of the PC on all my 7 years involved in IT!

what i just knew is bios is a system firmware and cmos is a battery made up of metal-oxide that contains startup files well is that true?

Most CMOS now are not really CMOS at all anymore. They are typically FLASH EEPROM chips in modern computers that store most of the settings like boot sequence, RAM timings, and passwords like the gentleman above mentioned didn't clear when he removed the battery. The main function of these batteries seems to be to keep the date and time.

HEY LISTEN NOW I TRIED TO UPDATE MY BIOS AND HAS BEEN FAILED I HAVE MOTHERBOARD ASROCK G41C-S CHECK IT PLS AND CPU Q8400 AND I HAVE PROBLEM AFTER UPDATING I TRIED TO LOGG ON MY COMPUTER AND THE MONITOR SHOWS ME AN BLACK SCREEN WHAT I CAN TO DO ??? PLEASE HELP!!! IS TOO MUCH IMPORTANT!! I LOST MY JOB AND I MUST TO FIX TO GET AGAIN BACK TO THE JOB SO PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN BUT I HOPE YOU CAN HEELLPP!!!

hello erm i enabled a password on bios about 1 yr ago n now i forgot it i want to format my pc and i still need 2 write the password when i wanna format it so how can i remove the pass? i tried removing the batiry but it didnt work:( pls help!!

Check the MB owner's manual for a jumper reset.
