I just recently got myself new Taylor 414ce acoustic guitar! a lovely 2008 model. In the video the guitar was a bit out of tune...that's because I had just recently restrung it myself but you get the idea of its sound.

Now here is everything you need to know about this guitar....
GRAND AUDITORIUM BODY: is a full size body dreadnought with the waists pushed in a bit more and easier to hold than a dreadnought and a nice Venetian cutaway.
BACK AND SIDES: Solid Ovangkol(with a bit of flame) and Satin finish
TOP: Solid Sitka Spruce and a gloss finish
NECK HEADSTOCK FRONT: Indian Rosewood
NECK: Taylor's NT neck design with finger joint all Mahogany.
FRETBOARD: Ebony with pearl dotted inlays.
BRACING: X-Forward Shifted
ELECTRONICS: Nieve designed Taylor Expression system. 3 magnetic pickups. (2 body sensors 1 string sensor) powered by a 9volt battery
ROSETTE: alternating black and white lined plastic pattern.
BRIDGE: Ebony Bridge and Ebony Pins
BINDING: All white Ivory binding along back and sides of body and the neck.
HARDWARE: All chrome Taylor tuners and tuning pegs
STRINGS: Elixer Polywebs lights.
CASE: Came with a standard black Taylor hard-case with black fur inside. Also with a small compartment for storage inside the case. The case has a total of 5 latches and has alligator type leather skin surrounding the outer case. It also has a big leather handle on one It is Rock solid.

This guitar had perfect action when I got it, low and very smooth. The expression system sounds beautiful out of a nice acoustic amp and through a full on PA system with little and even no need for EQ whatsoever. Acoustically it has the presence and sound of higher end Indian Rosewood guitar. The tuners also hold the guitar in tune once the strings are stretched enough. This guitar looks as good as it sounds.

I mean what can I say this guitar is absolutely wonderful. These woods cut with the finest and precision electronics and assembled, by hand, by some of the most experienced luthiers, Taylor guitars is a premium manufacture of quality guitars. Truly I can see myself with guitar in 30 years still playing beautifully the day it left the factory. And as they say the older it gets the better it will sound. I've played with higher end Taylors, Martins, Gibsons, Larivee, Collins etc... costing 2 to even 4 times the price but I can say this guitar is comparable to those heavy iconic hitters. It is what you can expect from Taylor quality guitars.

I have yet to take the Taylor guitars factory tour...but have seen here youtube how they are made via taylor guitar factory tours. It just goes to show how premium guitar manufactures go to such an extent to make a single guitar. I know you get what you pay for and surely for $1,500 I got a masterpiece.

I got this guitar at my local Best Buy and yes it was $300 cheaper there than at guitar center lol.....it also came with the hardcase and they hooked me up with $180 in free accessories plus another $170 best buy gift card! wow They are so nice there and will always look there first to buy instruments now.

Don't forget about Taylor's promotion if you buy a Taylor before the end of this month June they will e-mail you a free Taylorware gift card that you can use to buy anything off their online store such as guitars, any accessories like straps, picks, cables, and other things like shirts mugs and anything. • So how much did you pay for the guitar if you don't mind me asking. ? And do you think $1200 is a good price for a used one? Someone I know is selling one(410ce 2008 model) in really good shape. Thanks and very good demo. Blessings

  • @twoormoremusic hi! yes i payed roughly $1500 for it i believe and thats with all that free stuff. $1200 is an incredible deal, hoping it comes with the case too ;) and as long as you said the guitar is in great condition you should definitely consider getting that :) thanks for watching!

  • Should I save the extra 200 for Taylor 414ce or go for the Taylor 314ce is there much of a sound diff or should I just play it for myself to figure out

  • @Legend1885 Hi I would personally ;) and that's what I did :) Looks play a role also... as yourself if you like the wood better on a 314 vs. 414 and the binding white(414) vs. black(314) ...but in the end play both and see which one sounds better to your ears :)

  • What was the song played at 3:20?

  • @bigmacsa john mayer's "why georgia" :)

  • great video, thanks for posting!

  • Just bought the same guitar today. It sounds so much better than the Martin of similar price. The only slight drawback is that it doesn't have a built in tuner, but the sound is incredible.

  • good job man!

  • how long did it take for you to adjust to the 3/4 nut?

  • i lolerd at the way you kept saying flame...

anyways, beautiful guitar.. i own a 410.. the ovangkol is beautiful imo.

  • Hi all, if you want to see the Taylor 414ce in action, search 'Osborn Unlove Song' for my latest video. Cheers, James

  • best buy sells guitars?!?!?!!?

  • I guess you use light gauge strings for the GA? I always feel like I'm cheating when I play my electric, lol...like I need to go back to my dread to keep everything up to par. It literally feels like an electric?
