First of all I want to say thank you so much for all your amazing comments on the preview of this video *O*

This is a pretty simple video, I didn't use many effects and I took out the texture that was there in the preview because, to me, they just didn't look right x3

There will be a part 2 to this video, but I'm not going to tell you what's going to happen in it yet 8D
If you like this part I hope you look out for the next one ;D

I created a story to go with parts 1 & 2, so I hope you like the first part and the video because I really had a lot of fun making them both ^^=

Story ;;
(Note: Ariel can change between her mermaid and human forms at will.)

Ariel and Jim have been best friends since they were kids. Soon after they first met Ariel began to develop a crush on Jim but she never told him about her feelings because she didnt want to ruin their friendship.

On his 16th birthday Jim gets a job aboard a ship as a cabin boy. Ariel visits him often, sometimes in secret, while he's working.

One day a film crew arrive on the boat and Jim is captivated by one of the actresses, Anya.
During the journey they get to know each other and start to fall for each other.

One night Ariel decides to stay aboard the ship and in the morning she rushes to see Jim, only to find him with another girl, she starts to panic as she thinks Jim is in love with the girl and her suspicions are confirmed when she sees them start to kiss but runs away before she sees anymore.

Ariel returns home, but soon decides to see Jim again.
This time he sees her and invites her to meet his girlfriend, Anya. They sit on the deck with Ariel sitting near the edge of the boat and start to talk, though Ariel stays silent, watching Jim show off and compliment Anya.

As Jim starts to spend more and more time with Anya, he starts to neglect his friendship with Ariel.
This leaves Ariel on her own to think about her past with Jim and all the good and bad times that have happened to both of them, including the time Ariel saved Jim from drowning when he was on a sailing trip with his father.
As she wonders how he could just throw all of that away she starts to cry.

One night Anya is invited to a play with some of her fellow actors and actresses, including Dimitri, Anyas ex boyfriend who has never stopped loving her.
Anya decides to invite Jim to the occasion but they end up being separated, leaving Anya sitting next to Dimitri.
At the end of the play Jim looks up to try and catch Anyas gaze, Dimitri notices this and takes Anyas hand, to make Jim jealous, and tells her that they should be together.

Jim meets with Ariel and tells her everything that happened at the play.
Ariel is hurt by how much pain Anya has caused him and is distraught when she apologises and he instantly forgives her.

Later that night Ariel hears a noise on the deck and goes to check what it is. She then sees Anya and Dimitri dancing and is confused at how close they are getting and is shocked when she sees the two of them kiss.

Ariel decides to tell Jim what she saw but he dismisses it and calls her a liar, but Ariel is adamant at what she saw. Jim tells her that she knows nothing about Anya and tells her to shut up, she tries to apologise as she sees how mad Jim is, but he just tells her to go away.
So Ariel returns to the sea and starts crying thinking that their friendship is over, while Jim is staring out to sea, also wondering if their friendship is over.

A few days later Jim is playing around with Morph and accidentally stumbles upon Anya and Dimitri dancing on deck. At first he thinks they're just rehearsing for a movie but then he hears Dimitri tell Anya that he loves her and Jim recalls the night of the play when he saw them holding hands and whispering to each other.
Jim hears Dimitri propose to Anya and is crushed when he hears her accept the proposal, knowing that Ariel was right all along, Anya was just using him...
