Bruins roll on homecoming, 40-21 over Eastern Wayne

The Beddingfield football team did it again. After another tight first half, the Bruins stormed out in the second half for the third straight week Friday night to beat visiting Eastern Wayne 40-21 on a rainy homecoming night. The win broke a three-way tie atop the ECC for the moment, putting the Bruins on top of the Warriors by a game and Kinston by a half game. The Vikings will play at Southern Wayne on Monday, due to the weather. If Kinston wins, Beddingfield and the Vikings will collide next week with the top spot at stake.
