There's something not right about making this a "beautiful" song. It SHOULD be sad, dark, ironic and melancholic. It's just too light in this version.

lovely voice, just not right for this particular piece. i think we have to understand the music and its heritage as much as being able to read the notes and the text.

You have a superlative operatic voice, good ear for pitch, tone, and wonderful range. Truly a pleasure to listen to. I would be very pleased to hear you render Shubert's Ave Maria. I think your voice would truly shine with that piece.
