This is a sick little gun. The Model 327 holds 8 rounds of .357 magnum .38 S&W special rounds, has a 2" barrel so it has lots of kick. It is also made of Scandium Alloy. What I hated about this gun was sparks hit my face every single shot, crazy recoil which made my palm hurt, and that I cut my thumb rubbing against the cylinder release as a result of the recoil.

  • you should shoot double action, the guy that is robbing you blind wont wait for you to re-cock the hammer every time you shoot.

  • Snubs and mags are a poor paring. Most of the powder burns outside the muzzle. Lots of flash, smoke, and recoil.

There are now special magnum loads for snubbies. Faster burning powders.

Look into +P or +P+ 38 special loads. They should give less recoil and still give you higher veloicity..

Dont forget the old 148 gr wadcutter 38 load. That was THE load for decades.

    Nice gun enjpy it.

  • this gun it way to light.....its kicking like a horse...lol

  • @josephgioielli THE load was the 158 grain LSWCHP +P in .38

  • @decimator22 when you shoot a robber you dont have to "re-cock". at that point he should be dead.

  • hi,

do you still like your s&w 327 pc?

i'm thinking about buying one asap... do you find it reliable?

    thanks.

  • Since I was a youngster I have always noticed the masive flash and piercing sound of the 357 MAG. Even the 44's with more power arent as piercing... one other to try (If you can find) is the 357 Maximum...Its pretty nasty. The other fun wrist snapper is the 500 SW Mag....yamma hamma...better use 2 hands with that one...LOL

  • @JONISTI1 didn't notice until i read your comment here, but you're right. I'm new to shooting .357, but last time I shot with my GP-100 (6 inch barrel, btw), I was surprised by the warm blast of air from the Magnum loads. Maybe he got the same feeling?

  • Whats up with the after shot head snap back (delayed head jerk)...I mayhave someone video me to see if I do this? LOL I have a pair of these and had to send one back to PC for new WL Barrel (bad crown job). At 30' it had a decent 3" group but the group was 7" left and 2" low....(2 shooter verification) bad crown at 2 oclock to 4 oclock caused it...(so we think?). This lil power house fits 8 rounds of 357 in your 5.11 pocket..nice size with ample firepower for sure...

  • Yeah... the recoil is THAT MUCH. This thing is BRUTAL with Magnum loads, especially if You don't have an excellent grip on this gun. If the grips feel awkward during dry fire, it will probably hurt when You fire a Mag load. Very loud, very powerful, this gun must be trained often if using for Personal Defense... or You won't hit the broad side of a barn!

  • @decimator22 ... the 'guy WHO is robbing you blind' isn't going to be 15 yds. away either. No go and 'decimate' s.t with your .22
