@knowledgeiswhatsup I don't doubt the CIA is corrupt but going into businesses and such to rally ppl i think that's a little far fetched, don't doubt they could do it on a micro scale but your talking a whole country, not on a macro scale they couldnt,I don't believe a lot of the conspiracy stuff about Bush & Saddam, I think its as simple as Iran was our enemy so we backed Iraq then Saddam turned on us later, y is that any less credible than your claim that it was all set up?

@hobsdigree2:Saddam was not a leader, he was a proxy.You know this man. It did not matter what he did to his people because the US did not care then. As you know Iraq like most former colonies is a grouping of different peoples under the tile arab, so Saddam was the best glue to hold them together. When the CIA overthrew the Shah, the CIA went into bars and other places to help protest in the streets - it's the SAME tactics by the same people. They are holding on as long as possible

@knowledgeiswhatsup Saddam was a horrible leader, any government who denies the ppl freedom is evil. and no the CIA did not rally up ppl in the streets of Baghdad to cheer our troops, look it up on youtube there were quite a few that would be a little difficult even for the CIA. now your really not making sense, colonialism would be if we were planning on ruling Iraq, that's not the plan at all, we gave them free elections and our troops are leaving how is that colonialism?

@hobsdigree2: What you are saying is propaganda. In all nations there are groups who want to bring down the governments. Saddam was a tool of the US/Bush family and the only stable leader that they had. Any people who cheered you on were collected by the CIA to cheer just as in many other operations of the past, nothing new. You did not rebuild or stabilize anything! There are no insurgents, but resistance fighters against evil! The US colonialism is propaganda.

@knowledgeiswhatsup Then we will agree to disagree my friend, I don't believe anyone saw weapon inspectors as colonialism but I do agree they don't want some other country dictating their decisions, remember the ppl of Iraq hated Saddam just as much as we did, they cheered us when we first entered Baghdad, then we helped rebuild their country and stabilize it, insurgents used the argument that we were occupiers to rally ppl to their cause, that is just propaganda.

@hobsdigree2: I never forget so I don't have to think back. Try thinking now. It does not matter what Iraq was or was not trying to stop as you know no one wants outsiders inspecting their country as if they are still under European colonialism. The CIA knows what is there and what is not there and what there are or are not capable of, that is how they control these countries. There is no bad intel - only bad intel as an excuse. Bad intel did not get the US out of Iraq.

@knowledgeiswhatsup Think back, it all started with the UN inspectors being stopped at points they weren't suppose to be stopped at, Iraq may well have been developing WMDs and shipped research else where once the war broke out ultimately there was bad intel no one is denying that but I don't believe it was a deliberate lie, you will and that will be our difference. the Kurds should have gotton support and guess what, this time they did and now we have a free Iraq.

@hobsdigree2: Lol! That is NOT speculation those are straight facts. Are you saying that when the US first went to war with Iraq that they did not know what they had in their arsenal? After the war they did not know what they had? You can pull that on the average idiot or paid off reporter, but not people like me! When Saddam used chemical weapons on the Kurds, who stood by and let it happen and did not give a damn? Your boys Reagan and Bush I! Oil was the only reason for war.

@knowledgeiswhatsup sorry but that's still only speculation at the end, not denying a lot of your statement is true but at the end we will never know if its true he lied or not, it will always only be speculated. I believe at the end of the day the world is better off with out Saddam and though it cost a lot of money he eventually had to own up and pay for all the people he hurt (Karma), I don't doubt for a second that kept Kim Jong Il up at night thinking he could be next.
