This is my first video lesson on creation. it addresses some simple issues regarding information in the genetic code. I have tried to keep it simple, so that most people can understand it. Hope you enjoy.
There is not an "AIDS" virus, per se. Do some research. There is an HIV virus, but whether that is an actual cause of AIDS if far from ceretain. In fact, you might note that a test for HIV shows antibodies for it, same as if you tested someone for having had chicken pox. They would test positive for the antibodies, thought hat would not mean they currently had the disease. Look up the AIDS myth, and be prepared to listen.
In any case, said virus didn't become something else.
It happens with the AIDS virus in a matter of minutes. It explains why it becomes resistant to medication so easily and contributes to it being one of the deadliest deseases. Evolution is very, very observable.
This has never, ever been shown to happen, and is pure speculation. Science requires results that can be duplicated. Until someone does this, it's not science, but a belief.
And if natural selection favors this mutation, it will persist, as Menestheus said. If enough favorable mutations take place, the animal will have a genetic make-up so different from, let's say, another animal that would otherwise be similar to it that will no longer be able to reproduce with that animal. That is how new species are created.
People do not have tails, except in rare cases. Besides, that would only make a tailed person, not a new creature. There are NO intermediate forms found, and evolutionists know this. There are lists of similar animals, but not one single case of one in between any of these; they all show up fully formed.
Whales didn't came from cows, but yes, mutations do chance an animal into another, if there is environmental pressure.
Ordered fossil record, transitional forms and our own genes tell us that. Or how else are you going to explain that, for example, we have a gene to make tail.
All mutations add information, if you have an mutation in DNA, that is something new that wasn't there before and it is material for new features (nylon eating bacteria comes to mind). All evolution need is reproduction with variation and selection. There is nothing to stop mutations from accumulation, two population of same species subjected to different environments will diverge into two species that can't interbreed.

Nothing of that sort is ever going to turn a cow into a whale.

Mutations do not create new types of animals, though; they only cause minor differences in the type that's there.

I think Cristianity, along with many other religions, is a great way to shelter people from aberational activities..
To see Darwin's theory of evolution discredited, check out Ricky Gervais' lecture on creation.
It isn't my video so am not promoting myself, just a belief.
