This may be the best action going. Plane lines almost identical to Hogan, great quick tempo, superb pivot motion. Great power and stability at the same time. Pound for pound definitely one of the longest on the tour. Almost nothing to quibble with other than the toed in feet and slightly high approach with the driver.

  • So what you are saying is an opinion not a fact in terms of hand and forearm position. If I am going to spent time trying to learn correctly I rather spend time on facts then waste my time on opinion . Does that make sense.

  • @sifurick123 Golf technique is subjective at its core. When you choose an instructor or a method or a player to emulate you are commiting to preferences. The idea behind analyzing the great players in a comparative fashion is to see what technique has worked in the past (almost everything), look for general similarities, then decide on what you think is important and just how you would like to swing. I have my own preferences. I think Kim's backswing is as good as it gets.

  • @dukesygolfer Do you see those plane lines I draw? The plane is shifting durning the swing. If you are talking about the shoulders and the arms matching up, they don't. There is no such thing as a "one plane" swing. Some guys do a little more of this or a little more of that, but parsing it into "one plane- two plane" is the marketing tool of a genius salesman. Look at a swing for what it is...try not to give it a name. The game (and the swing) is far more complex than that.

  • @HitMeQuick I suppose only you get to be clever. Seriously, though, what is it about Kim's swing you find so offensive? I'm fascinated. I couldn't think of a swing less likely to be viewed negatively, but that's just me.

  • @brh5934 I'm not after an audience, this just warms up my fingers. I appear to have your full attention though, which is nice. Thanks for that. Now, here's the thing - the irony, if you will. You flew at me believing I was giving golf advice. But anyone with a basic knowledge of golf would recognise that the advice was made up. Words like "sprayed" and "obtuse" are clearly bollocks. The fact you couldn't see this shows you don't know much about golf...the very thing you were accusing me of.

  • @HitMeQuick so basically your a knifing douche that comments on Youtube golf videos in order to warrant a response from a serious golfer in order to seek attention and warrant a response that thusly makes you seem 'cool' and intelectual? Get a fucking life. I know you will have some witty, sarcastic reply that again makes the impression that your a pretentious douche thriving for attention. Stick to the music videos HitMeQuick, your not capturing much of an audience here, "'brotha'".

  • @brh5934 As you'll know, having to explain the joke (or in this case, the wind up) will lessen its impact. But what is always guaranteed in these situations is that certain idiots (in this case, you) will take the bait and believe that I think I know anything - or care - about golf. You are a shining beacon for the idiot majority and I suggest you never walk under any bridges alone, because you may just get hoodwinked into being sent the wrong way.

  • @HitMeQuick Oh please, enlighten me. What's the big joke I'm missing out here? I love to laugh, please do share. Is it amongst the lines of talking with bullshit golf jargon that makes you the unequivocally golf-know-it-all as you sit in front of a monitor talking yourself up like your the second coming jesus christ of the golf swing? I must be missing something here, chosen one. Oh sorry I cant pick up your sarcasm in text, maybe type in italics when you decide to sound like a douche.

  • @brh5934 Yes,well I suspect you take everything you read literally,"brotha", you hopeless mong. Enjoy your life of wondering why everyone else seems to be in on a joke you don't understand.

  • kinda funny to read some schmucks opinion about a PGA Touring pro's golf swing and how its 'everything you shouldn't do', what the hell have you accomplished out on tour hitmequick? Missed ya in the last ryder cup brotha, maybe this year!

  • not sure if you're done one yet wayne, but i'd love to see an analysis of jason dufner's swing

  • @Wsj1994 Jonathan's swing is not all that similar to Mr. Hogan's. Kirk Lucas tried to slowly mold facets of his swing to mirror Mr. Hogan's and its pretty damn impressive. But then again, no player on tour has a swing just like Hogan's.

  • Based on your response I'll have to change my opinion concerning your videos . I thought your videos are overly critical, however I think maybe you simply are insightful. And you are right, we do get to make the finale decision. Thank for the post.

  • Thank you for the response. I have to digest your answer based on my question .That being said thank you
