Some of da comments are fuckin stupid. POOR PEOPLE CANNOT GET A JOB BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT ARE TAKING THEM AWAY. POOR PEOPLE CANNOT GET A JOB BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT DONT GIVE 2 SHITS. " in a well governed country poverty is something to be ashamed of, in a poorly governed country wealth is something to be ashamed of" wtf grime=crime. NO WAY

@zantesh alright cool, i get what your saying but to be honest grime music dosnt do anything, it neither makes youth voilence increase or decrease, remember damiola taylor died before grime was invented, this whole steryotypical youth culture the tabloids bombard us with was created way before grime was
.
il agree with you that youth violence needs to end tho, no doubt about that
-
@UkGrimeTAKEOVER Nah i get what your saying, and yh i come from nw london, its not too bad, but by far isn't a rich area, and i see bullshit left right n center, but u know what fairdoose to u :)
-
@zantesh you might think your an interlect, but infact, your a fool, you are obviously not from a deprived area of london and you think that deep rooted problems like youth violence can be solved by taking away their music, i suggest you take a look at the bigger picture, kids are still going to sell drugs with or without 'grime'. because they want or infact need the money, kids are still going to carry knifes because the fear of getting out numberd, i suggest you dont comment me back either

@zantesh at the end of the day, your trying to convince your self that music influences killing, which is bullshit, killings happen because of the situations deprived areas are under caused by government, i.e no prospects for young people, im 18 and live in islington, hackney, the problems here are so much more rooted than music that i actually find this conversation offensive, grime was a way of getting kids of the street and into the studio, it was our way of dealing with it all

@zantesh ok everything else is bolloks, but, look, all thse grime mc's, chat out there ass, it isn't a reflection, most of it is hype bars, then the youngers, think this stuff actualie happens, and they try to mirror it, then it begins, then the youngers get older, and teach their youngers the ways, they would role back in day, and its a cycle, you understand that?

@UkGrimeTAKEOVER secondly, music should inspire people ( or atleast get them dancing), this music, makes people think its cooll rather than to have loads of money from hard work, to sell drugs, for the armani ect ect, i know how i used to see it, before i gave up with this sort of bollox, i used to hate mainstreem, but now it inspires me to be a better man, ( ontop of other inspirations) ( i listen to grime, it jus puts me down, all these gassed youtes tryna be like their idle giggs or joe black

Stop associating this music with crime retards. It's just down to timing, generation and youth. Not because of the way they dress or even "gun fingers". 40's years ago there were white kids with skinheads, who wore skinny jeans who listening to the stooges who robbed people and commited most of the crime. It's not the music, style or even attitude. It's just the youth and in another 40 years it will be another sterotype of youth commiting most of the crimes. Probably a hybrid of punk and grime.
