I think one of my favourite aspects about Dead Kennedys were that the lyrics always changed when they did live performances and would evolve to be more relevant with the political climate at the time. This is a great video

@Otaku4u I dunno, but I'm glad in a way that a lot of Rock has truned away from talking about politics. I see Rock and Roll as a great escape. I want to be entertained by a rock band, I do not want to be lectured. Although, I can see why people do prefer songs with politcal statements. And just because a song doesn't have a political statement doesn't mean it has to be whiney or sad or anything like that.

These were the good old days when both rock and punk actually made political statements and were a great way to protest our failed corrupt government at that time. Much better than that gutless,watered down whiney crybaby no talent bullshit that passes as rock or punk today!
