Emilio Estabat - Sheldon's Pet Bat

Found this guy sleeping on the side of a building took him home and fed him moths, and lots of water. He was hungry and thirsty! Had him a few days. We got to be buddies and then I put his home out on the deck and a few minutes later let the dog out his kennel. Went in the house for a second and came out and Emilio was gone! Sniper chewed the lid off and I think he ate him!! Hopefuly he flew away but Sniper eats squirrels so I have a feeling Emilio was Sniper's breakfast snack. Poor, poor Emilio. I'll miss you buddy.

Looking at the way you had your so called "pet", your dog did it a favor when it ate it. Bats can only fly if they've dropped from an elevated place, so yes, it is most likely the bat was eaten...

Bats carry many MANY deseases that don't affect them but can kill other animals. Your dog would get seriously sick if he ate the bat.

That is awful. Please PLEASE don't take bats from their natural habitat, unless they are in need of help (meaning they are injured, not sleeping), then TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE WHERE PROFESSIONALS CAN HELP THEM. Bringing them home and poking them and teasing them is just awful ): and I am horrified at the fact you'd just let your dog out right after setting him down, not making sure he flew off. It's just rotten.
