  • Yes, I believe whoever composed it wanted the listeners to enjoy the music. They probably didn't want musicologists fighting about who composed it...

  • what instrument was this piece originally written for?

  • I believe it was originally written for violin and piano. Some say the piece was written by Samuel Dushkin, others say it was Paradis and Dushkin only discovered the work. But usually Paradis gets the credit for this piece.

  • There are many women composers that were very famous and some performed in the most prestigious courts but society always focuses more on men composers (Mozart, Haydn, Bach family, etc.)
