Plane Pull 2008 at RDU - Special Olympics Fundraiser

The Preation/iContact team participating in the 2008 Plane Pull to support Special Olympics of North Carolina at the Raleigh/Durham Airport. The goal is to pull this American Airlines American Eagle Embraer Jet (weighting 40,000 lbs) 25 feet the fastest using a five-person team. The 2008 event raised just over $150,000 for the Special Olympics of North Carolina, up from around $60,000 in 2007.

The Preation/iContact team placed 4th overall out of 75 teams and 3rd overall within the corporate division (the other division was law enforcement). This was our first appearance in the competition.

Team members include: Wes Garrison (iContact), Aaron Houghton (Preation/iContact), Lynn Morehouse, (Preation), Dwayne Taylor (iContact), Justin Rauschenberg (iContact).

True, five people pulling a 767 would be incredible. One of the guys on another team was a former World's Strongest Man Winner and we were only pulling a regional jet. Pulling a 767 is probably possible but it probably wouldn't move 25 feet in 10 seconds. Since this was a fundraiser event if you'll donate $10,000 to Special Olympics I'll consider trying to pull a 767.
