There is no other artist that touches me the way Bon Iver does. Justin Vernon is, in my opinion, the most talented songwriter/musician of our era. The new self-titled CD has quickly become one of my favorite records of all time. This track is so incredibly gorgeous. I hope I did it some ounce of justice with this percussion arrangement. As you can see in the beginning of the video, this arrangement is dedicated to Tony Perolio.

It's pretty safe to say my dream job would be playing percussion with Bon Iver.

The world lost an incredible human being this morning. Tony Perolio had the biggest heart of anyone I've met in my life, and he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. May Tony rest in peace, and I hope that he can get back on the drum set up in heaven.

i've been trying to nail holocene on the drums for the longest time, but it's almost pretty impossible to do in one take. buuut, after seeing this, any drum cover of mine won't even compare. this is flawless.

@cmistler13 Although you did say that you loved his percussion covers, you then contradicted yourself by saying that he needed to only do drum covers. Defending someone's choice in performance isn't being an arrogant dick. However, degrading someones performance by saying that he should stop doing them (which is essentially what you said), is. I'd rather not continue this on a video dedicated to someones life.

@IKameAndKilled Thank you for correcting me. I couldn't see how insensitive and dumb I was to not see that he just lost a friend. However, every percussion cover isn't dedicated to a lost friend, so I'm a bit confused as to how you feel about his other videos as well. And if you happened to be paying attention, I wrote "I LOVE YOUR PERCUSSION COVERS". I love this song and this cover. So the next time you feel like being an arrogant dick over the internet, don't.
