All my marathi frd's agree to this that kannada pple will always talk in marathi with them.But rarely any marathi person will talk in kannada, even though born and brought up in karnataka. MES trying to get marathi votes. There is no problems faced by marathi people. Everybody is happy here. Karnataka is the only state which allows marathi people to celebrate black day on Karnataka rajyotsava in belgaum. Now its time people start respecting the place in which they reside and not play politics.

This is the first time i have agreed with raj thakerey's views...... I am kannadiga but i speak marathi wit my frds... I read marathi paper.... Nobody taught me marathi i learnt on my own. I respect marathi language as i respect kannada language.... Both are just means of communication. With marathi frd's i always talk marathi and with kannada frd's in kannada. But in our frd circle even if one is marathi speaking person then v all kannadiga's talk in marathi. V love both the languages.

its all politics for land and money nippani is one of the biggest suppiler of tobacco sivseniks r not concern abt marathi people ,they r intereted in the wealth in that land.but people of karnataka and maharashtra should understand that we r indians and we have freedom to move all over india states dont make pakistanis dream come true by makeing a borders in states

I live in US for last 25 years and was born in Karwar,We have an ancestoral place in Karwar and I visit every now and then. When I go back and see the "kannada" changes it astonishes me. Local people in the area of Belgaum, Karwar, Supa, Halyal, Nipani are 98% Marathi and Kokani speaking, they have nothing to do with Kannada culture or people. Secondly this is still a disputed area and matter is still in the courts. Kannadigs and their goons called "Vedike" are breaking the law & constitution.

For some Marathi people from Belgavi should whole villages from district added in Maharashtra?

If these people are in Balgavi then they must and aught to speak Kannada in court , in government offices .If they have to keep their culture they can keep in their home .

Should Kannada people from Solapur , Akkalkot ask Maharashtra gov to give form in Kannada ?? If you are saying no then stop this nonsense and rowdiness of MES who are acting like goondas

and very well known historian(a true maratha itself) i can't remember his name but read his book(kannada translate) where he clearly says without any doubt shivaji itself is a kannadiga( his ancestore BALIYAPPA a kannadiga),his(shivaji) second wife was from bengaluru, and shivaji was very fluent in kannada too!,its all history time just flows,if you go with maratha history to prove belgaum's maratha soul its just waste of energy.am just informing about the history every one is equal at present.
