i really must get Robin Hood series on DVD i never got to watch it.

I agree with you about Marian's absence. I don't have a problem with her dying because it was a CRAZY effective way to end the series with Guy going over the edge (and Marian, too!) and killing her.
But the loss of her *and* Djaq was too much for me. Now there isn't a strong female character (yet!) to carry the show for me. I always need that in adventure series, otherwise it's no fun. I want to be able to see myself in it, say, "I would be *her!*"
