I grew this beard for 6 months as i was studying for my MCAT. I'm a 36 year old father of four, who has decided to go back to school to pursue a career in medicine. i'm currently interviewing at medical schools and set to begin med school in the fall of 2012. three years ago i lost my construction based business, which led to my decision to go back to school. i've wanted to be a doctor for a long long time, so i figured...better late than never. growing a beard has been a great good luck charm. i'm actually first cousins with Brett Keisel from the pittsburgh steelers. lucky for him, he followed my example, and basically i'm the one to thank for all of his success. burly beards run in my family and i'm glad i could document this part of my life, which i'm sure will scare my kid's friends for years to come. thanks for looking.
