@TheLizzifer As long as you're playing an Elder Scrolls game you wont be cheating on any one of them, you're experiencing the Empire of Tamriel and its amazing world and lore :).

@Fuzzdrake Ha, really? Gotta love PC mods. That's great. I know I shouldn't let some over-used joke ruin an Elder Scrolls game for me. I'll definitely get around to it. Guess I just finally picked someplace to vent about it.
And yes, I feel bad about putting the words "Call," "of," and "Duty" in an Elder Scrolls comment ;)

@movieguy097 You honestly shouldn't let that ruin it for you, a lot of them probably haven't even played the game themselves. It occurred because guards would somewhat frequently say "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee."
If you use PC as well, some thoughtful gamer has made a mod to remove that line of dialogue.

I just gotta say this; I played Morrowind years ago briefly, loved it. Played Oblivion to death, loved it. When I saw the preview and gameplay for Skyrim, I was so amped. Music for all three games was just magical to me. All different, thematic for their own stories.
But these fuckin' arrow-to-the-knee jokes are killin' it for me. I haven't played Skyrim because I feel like it's the new Call of Duty. I will someday, but ugh. Such a turn-off to the game.

When I was inside the land of Cyrodil, all of my trials and tribulations meant nothing. I wasn't lonely. I wasn't sad. I was at peace, excited, energized... happy. For once the world didn't seem like it was against me. Then I took an arrow to the knee and started playing skyrim. But in all seriousness oblivion got me through some really tough times.

@TheLizzifer Same! I like skyrim more tho

Here, here. I would just walk, simply exploring every spot of the land. That was why I liked Oblivion so much. The huge, beautiful environment, the soft music, and the fact that there were so many areas to explore (caves, ruins, inns, etc.).
This makes me miss Oblivion. I feel like I'm cheating on it with Skyrim.
