Originally planted soon after the Norman Conquest in 1066 by William the Conqueror as a hunting ground the New Forest is still a place of leisure but has a big farming community & is now a hub of businesses, good food, drink & as long as the place is respected a warm welcome is assured to anyone whatever their race, colour creed or nationality.
